PostHog e-commerce implementation, with AI on top

Orders counted from the shop's server, purchases sent back to the ad platforms, ad spend set against real orders, and a weekly read drafted with AI through the PostHog MCP. Built on our own brand first.

Problem

A shop can run Google Analytics for years and still not be able to say which spend brought the sale. The shop, the analytics and every ad platform each count something different, and ad blockers and declined cookies hide part of the sales from the browser. WEARYOURGREENS, our own hemp clothing brand, was about to inherit the same problem with more moving parts: launches in the Netherlands, Germany and India, prices in euros and rupees, and shop software with no marketing reporting of its own. So rather than start on Google Analytics and move later, we started on PostHog.

Solution

Every order counted from the shop's server, not the browser. Purchases sent back to Meta and Google so their bidding learns from real sales. Ad spend set against our own orders. And a weekly read drafted with AI from the PostHog data, checked by a person before anything changes.
